Andrea Scarciglia is a postdoctoral researcher at the Neuro-Cardiovascular Intelligence Lab (“Enrico Piaggio” Research Center, Università di Pisa), where he has been working since November 2020.
With a background in Mathematics, he earned his PhD in Information Engineering. His doctoral thesis, "Physiological Noise in Complex Neuro-Cardiovascular Systems", explored the dynamical, statistical, and stochastic properties of physiological signals.
His current research focuses on nonlinear biological and physiological time series. He actively investigates dynamical and interacting systems by applying nonlinear analysis, model identification, and noise estimation techniques to physiological data.
