Andrea Scarciglia is a PhD student in Information Engineering, working at Neuro-Cardiovascular Intelligence Lab of the Research Center “Enrico Piaggio”, Università di Pisa, since November 2020.
He graduated in Mathematics at Università del Salento in 2016 with a thesis about Calculus of Variations and then he moved to Pisa where he obtained the Master’s degree in Mathematics in October 2020 with the thesis on non-linear time series analysis entitled “Embedding and Complexity of Time Series: Theory and Applications “.
As a post-graduate researcher, his scientific interests include non-linear physiological and biological time series and their quantifiers such as dimensions of embedding, entropies and Lyapunov exponents; he investigates metric and topological dynamical systems, nonlinear analysis and noise estimation techniques applied on physiological series.
