Roberto Francischello is a physicist ( he earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Department of Physics of the University of Pisa). He works on signal analysis, with a particular focus on biomedical imaging.
He has experience in both preclinical imaging—on animal models and anatomical specimens—and in the development of new hyperpolarised contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (during his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Pisa). He has also worked in clinical imaging, using radiomics techniques to analyse CT, MRI, and ultrasound images (during his postdoc at the University of Pisa).
In addition, he has experience in data analysis for various spectroscopic techniques, using both standard statistical methods and machine learning approaches.
