Arthur Plantard joined the Neuro-Cardiovascular Intelligence Lab in September 2024 as part of the Erasmus+ Traineeships post-graduate programme. His academic background includes a master’s degree in Engineering of Physical Activities for Different Pathologies from the University of La Réunion (France), and he is currently pursuing a PhD in Neurosciences and Neurophysiology at the same institution. His current PhD thesis focuses on differences in neuroimaging, brain connectivity, neuromodulation, and electrophysiology, within the context of neurophysiological understanding and neuropsychiatric disease. As a Research Intern at the NCIL, he is set to explore the brain-heart interplay in healthy subjects during different autonomic stimulations, such as changes in position and respiration, under the close guidance of Gaetano Valenza, PhD, and Vincenzo Catrambone, PhD.
